\\\\\\BALKAN COMIC & ILLUSTRATION ENCOUNTERS//////

Small rooms piled with drawings, forgotten sketches, experimental paintings, tagged walls under distraction, posters as carpets, spread falling notes and figures shaped out of decorative dust are some of the elements that make part of the suffocating scenario, quasi claustrophobic yet sublime, often found by Vera when crossing unlabelled peoples’ living places among her accidental Balkan trajectories in the past years. “Ore” is the word she uses to describe the moment of discovering such pearls and treasures as original dense blacks and whites, unseen textures, weird directions of lines of ink, psychotic fictional beliefs or absurd realms making history at the surface of the paper. Despite the shy feeling of guilt for subtly realizing similar looting of wealth as done by the colonists towards rich and fragile lands in former and actual times, Vera can’t avoid taking the action for publishing certain authors-pearl and promote their treasures through outer lands. These non-artificial alive paradises registered in the paper will dislocate themselves, leaving their small rooms beyond past limitations for reaching the eyes and brains of far out readers and thinkers. With non-commercial aim, the works from a group of artists of the zone of the Balkans is being showed under the format of a collection (kolekcija). Collections have been always helpful in tracking a unit of contents. However, in «KolekciJa Vera Suchankova», the contents may not be unified. Nevertheless, the elements, authors, that here unveil their “losing it” stories in lost pieces, streaming out their guts fiercely towards the paper, are daily hanging out together in a constant entropy of pleasure under the desire of supporting each other in their salubrious no future escapes towards some sort of visionary reality constructions… or destructions. Contaminated by the invisible power of these underground creations, Vera Suchankova, a fictional yet alive character, joins the scene. Appearing as a pearl & treasures smuggler confronting uneducated border-guards incapable to realize the fatal messages, either subliminal or not, imprinted in the trafficked papers meant to devastate and destroy all the physical and psychological frontiers and limits of existential expression. Code words are often used as like -pisca pisca or nippy.
